Kowai Hut & Bob's Knob

Grade: Moderate

We drive to the Kowai River near Porters Pass and hike into the hut for morning tea. A hard climb to the top of the east ridge to wonder at the big vegetable sheep grazing there.

Option of ridge walk (steep descent) back to the cars (assuming the weather is clear) or return the same way as we came in.
